Record a demo people can follow

One task, one clean starting state and a result viewers can actually read.

Prepare the starting screen

Choose the exact task before recording. Remove unrelated windows, use fictional data where appropriate and keep the relevant control visible. A viewer should understand the starting point without a tour of the whole interface.

Let the action finish

Record the useful interaction without interruption. A cursor arriving at the real control, followed by the actual result, gives the viewer enough context to repeat the task. Leave a short pause at each end so you can trim deliberately.

Edit the pauses, keep the proof

Remove dead time without skipping the state change that proves the product works. Add a caption about the result instead of narrating every click. Preview on a smaller screen and check that labels remain readable.
